About SafePlace
SafePlace is a survivor-led nonprofit based in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
We provide trauma-informed housing, legal advocacy, and emotional recovery for women and families impacted by domestic violence, trafficking, and crisis.
We don’t just offer shelter.
We create safety, dignity, and real support for the long haul.
Our wraparound model meets survivors where they are and walks with them as they rebuild. Whether they’re stabilizing after trauma, parenting through recovery, or starting over from nothing — we walk beside them, not above them.
Because safety shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be a starting point.
At SafePlace, we know survivors are already powerful, we just make sure they have the safety, support and space to rise on their own terms.
We walk with women as they reclaim their stories, define thier own path, and build lives that are theirs again.
Our Mission
SafePlace provides trauma-informed housing, recovery, and legal advocacy for women and families impacted by violence, addiction, and crisis.
We walk with survivors through every phase of rebuilding.
Our mission is rooted in lived experience, built with dignity, and driven by the belief that safety should never be a luxury.

Our Vision
We envision a future where safety isn’t a luxury, it’s a given.
A world where survivors are housed, protected, and empowered to rebuild their lives without fear, shame, or expiration dates.
At SafePlace, we’re building that world one woman, one family, and one room at a time
